Outstanding. Visited the Mattenmühle with the family on September 20, 2020. Very nice yard, clean impression, toilets too. The waitresses were very friendly, attentive and quick! Great praise. The food came at the same time, was very tasty and the portions plentiful. Price-performance ratio accordingly perfect. If you can't manage the portions (many will do so) you can have them wrapped up without any problems. This inn can be recommended to friends and family without hesitation. 5 *

Although prices have risen compared to previous years, the quality is still good. Every time we are more than full and many times have taken the rest with us. There are enough seats, although currently fewer than usual.

We were guests here for a small family celebration. Everyone at the table tasted the food very good. The waiting times were reasonable, the staff was friendly and nice. In retrospect, I don't like the concept that there are only "huge" portions. Not everyone wants such huge portions. The leftover meat we took with us is enough for another one or two meals. Very good to excellent German food, very good service, great ambiance, spectacular views, expansive outdoor dining space. All around a wonderful dining experience.

The food is delicious, the prices are appropriate and a nice place to stay. Highly recommended even if dogs are not allowed. Reservations are only available for the indoor dining area, not for the outdoor area.
